COMMENTS

This record was derived from a tape of the "Get Back" acetate. The same tape was the source of another rare record, titled DIG IT!, which included the same tracks in a different sequence, plus Dig It from the SILVER ALBUM. These two albums are the worst copies of the "Get Back" acetate ever produced. They are in noisy mono, mastered too slow and have several of the tracks badly edited. Let It Be runs only 1:20, with the final part of the song abruptly edited in after a minute.

RELEASES

This record appeared on a plain white jacket, with a rubber stamp saying GB. The disc had yellow labels without any indication of the content (photo below the title). Very soon a new rubber stamp was produced, saying GET BACK, that was either placed above the GB stamp, that is, using already stamped sleeves, or on a new sleeve.

When the producers got hold of a copy of GET BACK by Lemon Record, with the same material in better quality, they cut a new master and released the record using the same GET BACK rubber stamp. The disc of this version had counterfeit Lemon labels (see this record here)

INTEREST. A very rare record, musically worthless but with a high collector's value for any of the different covers. ****
