THE ORIGINAL RELEASE

The original release (photo below the title) has a matt jacket, with notes and the track listing on the back, and a fake "Made in Spain" indication. The number JYC-0051 was added to the cover. Two versions exist: one on black vinyl with bluish labels reading "Good Times Records", and one on orange vinyl, with the same labels in cream or brown color. This second version was pressed from new masters, numbered JYC 051 A to JYC 051 D. It is not known whether this was released by the same company or is a counterfeit.

INTEREST. A useless compilation of two previous, not rare, records. **/*

THE COUNTERFEITED RELEASES

This record was soon counterfeited on matrix BCD 1 / BCD 2 / BCD 3 / BCD 4. The counterfeit was pressed in mono and its sound quality is much worse, with a muffled sound and a noisy pressing. It's probably the worst copy of the  Get Back acetate. The jacket is identical. The first version had blank labels, usually white and orange, with a rubber-printed title on one side of each disc in some copie. This is the most common version of BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, even more so than the original release.

After the mid eighties several more versions of the counterfeit were distributed, one of which appeared around 1987 on multicolored vinyl, included in the "Verzyl" records series, likely a reference to John Verzyl, a collector and editor of comics. These records, also those in black vinyl, usually usually labels with drawings of monsters; one copy with a strange label with a "NO" (or "ON") indication was seen.

INTEREST. Only interesting for the labels; the version on multicolored vinyl was pressed in a very limited number of copies, no more than 50. The version with blank labels is absolutely worthless (*), the others are valuable for collectors interested in records with peculiar labels or in the Verzyl releases. ** (multicolored vinyl: ****).
